The Ministry of Economic Developmentās privatisation committee said in a statement it had received 12 applications.
The committee stated it has decided the following six submissions meet its requirements: DLA Piper UK in consortium with Deloitte Albania SHPK and Tashko Pustina; Ernst & Young (Poland); ING Bank (UK) in consortium with K&L Gates; Lazard Freres (France) in consortium with Raiffeisen Investment; PwC (Poland); and Zagrebacka Banka ā UniCredit Group (Croatia) in consortium with SchonerĀ Rechtsanwalte, Baker Tilly Makedonija and Analysis Mason.
The committee added the shortlisted companies will be invited to participate in a tender after the appeal deadline, which was not specified, has lapsed.
In December, Bloomberg reported the Kosovan government had factored the sale of up to 75 percent of the incumbent telco into the 2012 budget, which plans total spending of ā¬1.52bn. The news agency cited public broadcaster Radiotelevizioni I Kosoves (RIK) as reporting the sale is expected to take place within the first quarter.
