T-Mobile Netherlands interim managing director Mark Klein will head the company permanently.
A former senior vice president with parent company Deutsche Telekom, Klein started as interim MD at the Dutch unit on 1 January.
Deutsche Telekom head of Europe and technology Claudia Nemat said Klein’s extensive international telecoms experience makes him an “ideal” person to lead the key Dutch asset. She highlighted mobile internet for both consumers and businesses as an important area for development.
Klein joined the German incumbent in March 2012 as senior vice president for commercial excellence in Europe, responsible for the management and development of marketing functions and services. Previously, he was director of SME and SOHO for Vodafone. He has also worked for McKinsey and Arcor (now part of Vodafone Germany).
