The CFO of Kazakhstani mobile operator Kcell, Baurzhan Ayazbaev, has resigned from the role with immediate effect.
Kcell, a unit of Sweden’s TeliaSonera, said in a statement that its board will start the recruitment process to find a new finance head.
No reason was given for Ayazbaev’s resignation and the company was not immediately available for comment.
Ayazbaev’s departure comes just over a fortnight after the resignation of CEO Ali Agan was announced. Chief technical officer Rikard Slunga is acting as interim CEO while the Kcell board hunts for a permanent replacement for Agan, who left on 30 September.
Kcell, Kazakhstan’s largest mobile operator, raised US$525m in the listing of 25% of its shares at the end of 2012.
