Japan’s Softbank has announced that UK chip designer ARM Holdings’ shareholders have overwhelmingly cleared the previously-agreed £24bn (US$31.7bn) takeover. Softbank has also named Ren Tanaka as Softbank’s deputy head of the business unit and general manager of ARM Business.
