State-owned Telecommunication Consultants of India (TCI) has received expressions of interest for its 30% stake Bharti Hexacom.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India is acting as financial adviser to TCI.
A number of local and foreign companies have expressed an interest, according to Hexacom Managing Director R.K. Upadhyay.
Bharti Hexacom is a JV between TCI and Bharti Airtel, which holds 70%. Bharti Airtel has first refusal on the stake.
Late last year, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave its blessing to the sale, saying that it was “the right time” in order to extract the highest possible value.
Hexacom has just under 10 million wireless users and 35,000 subscribers for its telemedia services in Rajasthan.
