Intelsat has announced the appointment of Terry Bleakley as regional VP of Asia-Pacific sales, effective from November 15.
Bleakley, formerly VP for commercial operations at Asian satellite operator Measat, will lead marketing initiatives in the region, including for the expansion of media neighbourhoods for cable programming and DTH platforms.
“Terry has expert knowledge of the satellite industry and the solutions required by satellite customers in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Kurt Riegelman, Intelsat’s senior vice-president of global sales.
“Given our plan to launch five satellites serving Asia-Pacific over the next two years, Terry’s appointment is the first step in expanding our sales and marketing presence in the region.” Separately, Intelsat has announced the appointment of David Ball as managing director of Australia-based subsidiary Intelsat Broadband Pty.
Ball will oversee broadband connectivity solutions and infrastructure services in the country, as well as other business development activities in Asia-Pacific.
