The shareholders of Indonesian mobile operator Indosat have voted to replace Peter Kuncewicz, the company’s finance director, with Curt Stefan Carlsson.
At last week’s AGM, they also voted for president director Harry Sasongko to remain in place. Reports explain that this management reshuffling comes as Indosat is looking to cut its debt load and improve its performance.
Last week, it was reported Indosat had launched the sale of 4,000 towers worth some US$500m. It is possible that the transaction could be the first part of a broader process to sell 14,000 towers for about US$1.4bn. Citi is advising the company on the process.
