PT Solusi Tunas Pratama (STP) is looking to buy 300 towers from Hutchison Telecommunications, the Indonesian towerco announced to the stock exchange today.
In a translation of STP’s statement seen by Reuters, the towerco said it would buy up to 300 towers from the global telco’s Indonesian unit, but the value of the deal was not revealed.
Indonesia’s towercos have seen an influx of M&A activity in recent times. As TelecomFinance reported last month, PT Axis Telekom Indonesia, a towerco subsidiary of Saudi Telecom Company (STC), is looking to sell 1600 towers for US$300m.
TelecomFinance reported in October that PE firm Carlyle Group was said to be buying a 25% stake in STP for US$100m.
Hutchison did not respond to TelecomFinance in time for the deadline.
