Hungary has called for bids for a tender of mobile spectrum in five frequency bands, hoping to raise at least Ft104bn (US$467.92m) from the process.
The deadline for bids is 16 June, regulator NMHH said in a statement.
Licences for the spectrum – in the 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1,800 MHz, 2,600 MHz and 26 GHz bands – will be valid until 2034.
The tender is designed to stimulate competition and boost the rollout of broadband networks, the regulator said.
Hungary’s three mobile network operators are Magyar Telekom, controlled by Deutsche Telekom, and the local units of Telenor and Vodafone.
