Chinese vendor Huawei has been selected to provide equipment and related services for new CDMA networks for Nextel Brazil and Nextel Mexico, both subsidiaries of the US holding company NII Holdings.
In a statement yesterday, NII Holdings said that Huawei will build W-CDMA networks for the 3G spectrum that Nextel has recently acquired in Mexico and has bid for successfully in Brazil.
