Stella Handler, chairperson at HOT Telecommunications, announced her resignation this week, following the delisting of the Israeli telco.
Handler, who has been in the role for less than two years, chose to leave as she decided her role would become much less important in the newly privatised company, according to Israeli business paper Globes.
“The change to being a private company, together with the completion of a number of strategic moves that have positioned HOT in its rightful place in the market, led me to the decision that this is the right time for me to leave the company,” said Handler, cited in Globes.
As TelecomFinance reported back in November, French businessman Patrick Drahi bought the remaining stake in HOT for NIS42 (US$10.9) per share through his company Cool Holding. Analysts predicted at the time that Drahi would delist the telco.
“I should like to thank Patrick Drahi for his support and his faith in me, which greatly helped me in leading the company forward,” said Handler.
