Israeli cableco Hot has announced that its chairman, Hertzel Ozer, is stepping down, reports Globes.
Following six and a half years at the company, the first five as CEO, he will work on social projects in Israel led by Patrick Drahi, who heads Hot’s parent company Altice. Ozer has also worked in business development at Altice.
The company will pay him NIS5.6m relating to previously agreed bonuses and a grant that Ozer had foregone.
Drahi thanked Ozer, who he described as “an outstanding professional”.
Altice upped its stake in Hot from 62.5% to 100% in 2012 in a take-private deal.
Hot, which produces the TV series Homeland, offers cable, fixed-line, mobile and broadband services.
