Israeli mobile operator Cellcom has reportedly secured an MVNO agreement with local DIY chain Home Center.
The DIY group’s Home Center Mobile division plans to offer a range of discounted tariffs, and also sell handsets, reported local publication Globes Online.
Cellcom and Home Center were unable to comment before the press deadline.
But the reported news follows a spate of similar announcements following a decision by the country’s Ministry of Communications to award its first MVNO concession in June 2010.
In addition to Cellcom, the other mobile operators in the country are Pelephone, Partner Communications, Mirs Communications and Golan Telecom – the latter of which was officially awarded its 3G licence earlier this month.
