State-owned Telecommunications Consultants of India (TCI) has invited bids for its 30% stake in Bharti Hexacom, with partner firm Bharti Airtel having first refusal, according to reports.
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India is acting as financial adviser to TCI.
The deadline for receiving bids is March 25.
Late last year, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave its blessing to the sale, saying that it was “the right time” in order to extract the highest possible value.
Bharti Hexacom is a JV between TCI and Bharti Airtel, which holds 70%.
Hexacom has just under 10 million wireless users and 35,000 subscribers for its telemedia services in Rajasthan.
