Telecoms tower company Helios Towers Africa is close to securing a US$200m financing to expand in sub-Saharan Africa, according to a Dow Jones report.
Approximately US$100m will be provided by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), while the remainder will come from undisclosed existing investors.
The IFC and Helios Towers could not be reached for comment before the press deadline.
On its website, Helios claims to have operations in Ghana, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria, and to own 3,500 towers.
