Robert Norris Palitz, known as Bob Palitz, has decided to resign after nine years as managing director at Ghana’s smallest mobile operator Kasapa Telecom.
His resignation comes a year and a half after the company was taken over by Sudatel’s African subsidiary, Expresso Telecom. The CDMA operator competes against five licensed GSM mobile players, including MTN, Vodafone, Zain, Millicom’s Tigo and Glo Mobile, which has yet to launch.
Sudatel acquired 100% of Kasapa in July 2008 for US$74.96m in cash.
