The board of operator TIM Brasil has elected Rodrigo Modesto de Abreu as the company’s new CEO.
He replaces Italian Andrea Mangoni who is set to leave the role on 4 March, the same day Abreu will start.
Mangoni took on the role last May leaving his role as CFO of parent Telecom Italia.
Abreu’s last role was as CEO of Cisco do Brasil where he spent seven years. TIM says he has more than 20 years of experience in telecommunication and IT, having worked for various companies in that field, in Brazil and abroad.
