The two North Carolina-based backhaul providers Hatteras Networks and Overture Networks completed their merger today.
The new company will be called Overture Networks and will provide Carrier Ethernet customers with a range of services including mobile and DSLAM backhaul, as well as packet-based infrastructure.
No financial details have been disclosed because both Hatteras and Overture are privately-held companies.
Jeff Reedy will stay as CEO of Overture Networks. Kevin Sheehan, the former CEO of Hatteras, will be president of the new company.
