Connectivity Business News, a leading news source in the satellite and connectivity space, today announced a partnership with the Global Satellite Operators Association for the Connectivity Next Summit 2023 taking place on Nov. 13-14 in Atlanta.
The global nonprofit GSOA in June merged with fellow satellite industry association Global VSAT Forum (GVF) to create a unified voice for the industry, the groups told CBN in a group statement.
GSOA’s membership is comprised of CEOs within the satellite industry, many of whose companies will be represented at November’s summit. Some of these companies include:
- Tokyo-based in-orbit services provider Astroscale;
- Englewood, Colo.-based network provider EchoStar (NASDAQ: SATS);
- London-based low Earth orbit connectivity provider OneWeb;
- Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES; and
- Carlsbad, Calif.-based satcom provider Viasat (NYSE: VSAT).

Other companies comprising GSOA membership include Canadian satellite operator Telesat (NASDAQ: TSAT / TSX:TSAT), whose CEO, Dan Goldberg, was named a chair in June. Parisian satellite operator Eutelsat CEO Eva Berneke and Abu Dhabi-based satellite operator Yahsat CEO Ali Al Hashemi were also elected as vice chairs this summer.
GVF and CBN previously partnered with in January 2022, and co-hosted webinars on issues affecting the connectivity industry, ranging from trends in 5G to the investment landscape to connecting antennas to satellites.
