India’s telecoms ministry will voice its opinions on the future of state-owned operator BSNL by the end of July, the government said.
An internal panel has been set up to review the options open to the company including a share sale or a restructuring.
There had earlier been plans to sell 10% of the company through an IPO but this did not come to fruition.
