Swedish mobile operator Tele2 has appointed former Google executive Roxanna Zea as chief strategy officer.
Zea, who was Google’s head of strategy and initiatives for UK, Northern and Central Europe, will join Tele2 on 17 September.
Tele2 CEO Mats Granryd said Zea’s experience with Google would be advantageous for the group, as “the telecommunications and internet worlds converge to the point of virtually becoming one and the same playing field”.
In her new role, Zea will be taking on responsibilities previously held by M&A and strategy head Fredrik Linton, who has chosen to fully concentrate on M&A, according to a company spokeswoman.
