Israeli mobile player Golan Telecom is reportedly in talks with larger rivals Partner Communications and Hot Mobile to join their network sharing agreement.
Earlier this month, Hot Mobile and Partner, which operates under the Orange brand, agreed to each own half of a newly-formed partnership, allowing the former to deploy an LTE network.
“While Hot Mobile and Partner will continue to maintain and operate separate core networks, Partner has agreed to grant Hot Mobile a right of use in its cellular communication network for the purpose of providing nationwide cellular coverage to Hot Mobile’s customers,” holding company Altice, which has a stake in Hot, said in a press release at the time.
It had been speculated that Golan would try to team with either Cellcom or Pelephone, following news of the agreement.
But according to local news website Globes, the small mobile operator is in preliminary talks with Hot and Partner for a three-way partnership, allowing the companies to further cut costs.
Golan was not immediately available for comment.
