France Telecom’s GlobeCast has set up a new Asian unit to acquire and distribute content.
The satellite services company says it is in talks to secure carriage deals with TV channels and content providers with DTH, cable and IPTV platform operators worldwide.
GlobeCast claims to have successfully launched several top Asian channels on European and US networks that target Asian audiences.
Examples of GlobeCast’s work in Asia include its deal to distribute the bulk of Russia Today’s Asian activity, launching it on 16 digital platforms across six countries.
