Jureller, who was previously senior VP of finance and operations at PE firm General Atlantic, joins the company on 7 January but starts in his new role on 27 February.
In the interim period Shassian will see out the year-end closing process and filing of financial statements.
“I am delighted to welcome John to Frontier,” said CEO Maggie Wilderotter.
“His strong financial and operational background provides the skills the company needs to succeed in a highly competitive environment.”
The Stamford, Connecticut-based telco offers triple-play services, predominantly to rural areas and to smaller towns and cities across 27 states.
