Francisco Blanco has resigned as director of Chairman’s Office at Telefonica after 23 years at the Spanish incumbent, the company has confirmed.
Telefonica declined to give further details about Blanco’s departure, but TelecomFinance has learned that he saw his role become defunct following a reorganisation that began last September.
As director of corporate strategy, newly appointed Eduardo Navarro is understood to effectively cover Blanco’s previous responsibilities.
Blanco’s next move remained unclear at the time of going to press.
