Four potential bidders have expressed an interest in Telefonia Dialog, the fixed-line unit of Polish state-owned mining company KGHM, reported Reuters citing the CEO of KGHM, Herbert Wirth.
He reportedly said that mobile operator Polkomtel, which is also up for sale and in which KGHM holds 24.39%, was one of the possible candidates.
Previous reports suggested that Netia could also be interested.
TelecomFinance previously reported that Rothschild was advising on the sale.
KGHM seeks to complete the sale by the end of Q2. Last year, the book value of the asset was reported to be PLN825m (E290m).
Telefonia Dialog launched an MVNO in February 2010 under the name of Diallo, using Polkomtel’s network.
KGHM did not respond to request for comments before press time.
