Tom Alexander, CEO of Everything Everywhere, will step down 14 months after the creation of the JV by parent companies T-Mobile and France Telecom. He will be succeeded by Olaf Swantee, who joins from France Telecom, but was already a member of the Everything Everywhere board.
Swantee will take over at the beginning of September, Everything Everywhere said in a statement, while Alexander will continue to advise the company until the end of the year.According to a company spokesperson Alexander stepped down to spend more time with his family after “a pretty intense work agenda” over the past year, while integrating the two UK operations of T-Mobile and Orange. His departure is a great loss for the company, he said.
Swantee joins from France Telecom, where he is Executive Vice President, Operations in Europe (except France) and Sourcing. The company spokesperson noted that Swantee had been an Everything Everywhere board member since its inception. Despite having an FT background he worked on projects with Deutsche Telekom previously. The spokesperson said Swantee was instrumental in the procurement agreement agreed between the two parent companies earlier this year.
