Satellite sector analysis and consultancy firm Euroconsult has formed a United States subsidiary following the completion of its merger with Washington-based satellite communications consultancy Irwin Communications. Susan Irwin has subsequently been named president of Euroconsult USA Inc.
Paris-based Euroconsult stated that the opening of its US operation is another step in its ‘long-term strategy of establishing a team of industry experts that can respond quickly to the needs of North American clients for due diligence, market analysis, strategic planning, policy assessment and other services’. The company first established Euroconsult North America in Montreal, Canada back in July 2008.
At the same, Euroconsult has announced a strategic partnership with The Jones Consulting Group in order to further develop its Earth observation and remote sensing business.
The Jones Consulting Group was founded in 2009 by satellite industry veteran Dennis Jones, who has previously held senior executive positions at GeoEye, Space Imaging and The Aerospace Corporation. He has also served in analytical and advisory positions in the US government’s national security community.
Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Jones Consulting Group, provides advisory, business development and strategic planning services to remote sensing, geospatial, and aerospace companies as well as government organizations. The firm serves its clients by devising strategies and implementation plans that create and sustain value in the national security and commercial sectors globally.
