Chilean telco Entel has appointed Sebastian Dominguez as the CEO of its newly-acquired asset Nextel Peru.
The move follows the closure of the US$410m deal, which was announced at the start of the week.
Since 2011 Dominguez had been Entel’s innovation and strategy manager.
He replaces Miguel Rivera Aguirre who had headed up the Nextel unit since 2000. Aguirre will become an adviser to Nextel Peru’s board.
Entel bought the unit from US-based NII Holdings, which sold the business due to a change in strategy.
