Finnish telco Elisa has launched the issue of a €300m seven-year eurobond with mandated lead managers Deutsche Bank, Danske Bank and Nordea Bank Danmark.
The bond will be issued under Elisa’s €1bn EMTN programme.
Parts of the proceeds from the issue will be used to finance a tender offer for a bond maturing in 2014. The tender, launched today, is for the purchase of up to €150m of the 2014 notes, the company said in a statement.
Furthermore, the company intends to use the new €300m bond for the financing of general corporate purposes.
At the end of H1/2012, Elisa reported revenues of €771m, and EBITDA of €243m and net debt of €909m. The company has net debt/EBITDA ratio of 1.8.
