The Egyptian telecoms regulator NTRA has prolonged the deadline to submit bids for two licences to provide triple-play services in closed compounds, according to Reuters.
The deadline has been pushed backed from March 15 to April 15 following requests from potential bidders.
Mobinil, Etisalat, Vodafone Egypt and Orascom have already declared their interest in the licences. The successful operators are expected to invest US$1bn within five years to roll out the services.
