Egypt’s communications ministry might consider reducing its 80% stake in Telecom Egypt (TE), although no decision has been made, says a Reuters report.
The news agency quotes communications minister Tarek Kamel saying he had previously been open to the possibility of listing an additional stake of TE on the local exchange, depending on ongoing studies with experts and consultancies.
The government owns 80% of TE after listing a 20% stake in 2005.
