African towerco Eaton Towers has appointed Gareth Townley as MD and Adnan Quddus as CFO of its operations in Ghana.
Townley was previously CEO at broadcaster Viasat and, between 2003 and 2007, was CEO of Millicom’s cellular businesses in Sierra Leone and Ghana.
New CFO Quddus joins from Orascom Telcel in Namibia where he held the same position. He has also been CFO for Millicom in Ghana and Tanzania.
“These key appointments provide further momentum to grow our business of selling telecom tower co-location and shared-infrastructure facilities,” said Eaton’s CEO Alan Harper.
“Ghana is a key market for Eaton Towers and we are very pleased to welcome Gareth and Adnan to the team. We are confident that their combined experience and relevant track records will support our plans in the country.”
London-based Eaton was founded in 2008 and operates towers in Ghana, Uganda, South Africa and Kenya.
