Digicel has recruited its new head of the Caribbean and Central American region from within.
Andy Thorburn has been promoted from his position as CEO of the Irish-owned operator’s Jamaican business. That role is being taken by Barry O’Brien, who will end his four year spell at the helm of Digicel Barbados. O’Brien will also look after the telco’s operations in the Cayman Islands.
Thorburn will now have oversight over Digicel’s businesses in 25 different markets across the Caribbean and Central America.
