Sri Lanka cellco Dialog Axiata has announced it will enter into a business process outsourcing (BPO) joint venture with Indian BPO company Firstsource Solutions.
The JV, known as Firstsource-Dialog Solutions, will be 74%-owned by Firstsource and the remaining by Dialog. The entity will be based in Sri Lanka.
“In addition to serving local BPO clientele, Firstsource-Dialog Solutions will from its inception manage Dialog’s customer contact management operations across its mobile, fixed-line, pay television & broadband businesses,” read a Dialog statement.
According to Reuters citing local reports, Firstsource CEO Matthew Vallance said that the company will initially investment US$1m in the JV.
