The CFO of German incumbent Deutsche Telekom, Timotheus Hottges, has joined the board of the beleaguered Greek incumbent OTE.
Hottges’s appointment was approved in an extraordinary meeting of OTE shareholders on Wednesday. He will now sit as a non-executive member on the 11-person board.
Deutsche Telekom holds a 40% stake in OTE.
Hottges has been CFO at DT since 2009. Before then, he had served as the board member responsible for the company’s T-Home unit.
He joins other present or former DT executives on the OTE board.
Kevin Copp, OTE’s CFO since 2009, was previously at DT.
Claudia Nemat, a DT board member, and Klaus Muller, an SVP at DT, both sit on the OTE board as non-executive members.
