Andrew Davies is stepping up to replace John Townsend as CFO of Verizon Wireless, a JV between US operator Verizon and UK mobile company Vodafone.
Davies had been CFO of Vodafone’s Indian operations since 2007. Prior to Vodafone, Davies had held various financial roles for companies including General Electric and Honeywell.
Townsend, with Verizon Wireless since 2005, is moving to Vodafone as regional CFO for Europe on November 15. He has been with the company since 1993.
Townsend’s new role results from a global restructuring of Vodafone’s global operations.
