David Dillon, previously CEO and chairman of US retail chain Kroger, joined the board of DTH provider DirectTV on 10 March.
Mike White, chairman, president and CEO of DirectTV, said Dillon’s experience in leading a company with sales of more than US$82bn in fiercely competitive environment will be a great asset to its business.
“Dave has led Kroger through difficult economic times and has grown customer loyalty while pursuing a long-term program to reduce operating costs and leverage economies of scale,” said White.
“His extensive leadership experience in a customer-focused industry and his commitment to the community will be of great value to the board and to DirectTV.”
