Colombia’s communications regulatory commission (CRC) expects to announce the winner of the contract to administer the country’s number portability (NP) database by the end of September local press reported.
The interested companies are Telcordia, Informatica El Corte Ingles, Neustar, Tecnocom and Teletech, CRC said.
According to the timeline provided by CRC, network and system adjustments are to be made to accommodate NP throughout April 2011. In addition, test runs are to be carried out during May and June of 2011, and NP is to be formally launched in July 2011.
