French B2B telecoms operator Completel has bought Altitude Telecom, an IP operator focusing on the corporate market, for an undisclosed sum.
Credit Agricole advised Altitude founder Jean-Paul Rivière for the sale of the telecoms business, which does not include infrastructure.
Completel said that with this acquisition it is reaching about 10% of market share on the corporate segment and E500m revenues. The market is dominated by Orange and SFR. Altitute Telecom has a strong presence in the West of France where Completel was less active.
Completel, which is owned by Altice B2B France, owns its own fibre optic cable and has its own national DSL network.
The closing is expected to take place around December 20.
