UK-based telecoms provider Colt has hired Hugo Eales to replace Mark Ferrari as its CFO.
Eales, a former global CFO for BT Global Services, will start his new role on 1 November, Colt said in a statement.
Ferrari has decided to return to Fidelity Investments in the US, having completed his secondment from the company. He will step down as an executive director on the Colt board on 31 October and leave the company on 31 December.
Colt CEO Rakesh Bhasin said Eales joins the company as it repositions itself for significant growth opportunities.
“Hugo brings a wealth of experience to Colt including extensive financial, commercial and operational experience with complex global organisations and IT services companies,” he said.
Prior to working with BT, Eales spent 15 years with IT outsourcing company CSC Computer Sciences, where he held a number of senior roles in the UK, US and Switzerland.
Colt provides integrated network, data centre, voice and IT services to large organisations, mid-sized businesses and wholesale customers internationally. It operates in 22 European countries and has a 47,000km European network and transatlantic network capacity.
