Louise St-Pierre has been appointed president and CEO of Cogeco Cable’s Canadian business.
She was previously senior vice president of residential services at the cableco and has now been promoted to the newly-created position.
Louis Audet, president and CEO of Cogeco Cable, commented: “With the addition of new members to the Cogeco Cable family, following two acquisitions made in the past seven months, the time had come to adapt our corporate structure to our new reality.”
Audet added that the change was designed to optimise growth within the operator’s different divisions.
Montreal-headquartered Cogeco recently acquired Canadian internet hosting provider Peer 1 Network Enterprises for US$526m and US cableco Atlantic Broadband for US$1.36bn.
Cogeco’s Canadian cable unit is the second-largest operator in Ontario and Quebec, the country’s two most populous provinces.
