US regional operator Cincinnati Bell has promoted its chief operations officer David Heimbach to its newly-created position of chief operating officer (COO).
The 14-year company veteran began in his new position last week, in which he is overseeing the telco’s network and its operational performance.
Heimbach moved to the operations side of Cincinnati Bell in March after three years heading up the operator’s enterprise division.
Cincinnati Bell’s CEO and president Ted Torbeck said that Heimbach would be crucial as the telco re-orientates itself.
“Our company, customers and shareholders will continue to benefit from his expertise as we execute on our strategy to transform Cincinnati Bell into a fibre-based growth company,” Torbeck said.
The appointment of a new COO follows Leigh Fox becoming CFO at the start of October.
Cincinnati Bell provides fixed-line and mobile services in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky and reported revenues of US$1.5bn for 2012 and US$535m adjusted EBITDA.
