TMT veteran Christopher Harland is reportedly to join boutique advisory PJT Partners.
Harland left Morgan Stanley in March after 30 years, having held the roles of vice chairman, head of Latin America and global head of TMT.
PJT, headed by another Morgan Stanley veteran, Paul Taubman, plans to combine with the M&A advisory spin-off and restructuring business of Blackstone, reports the Financial Times. It will also absorb Park Hill, which raises new capital on behalf of private equity firms and hedge funds, before its own stock market listing.
Taubman, after leaving Morgan Stanley in 2012, advised Verizon on its US$130m buyout of Vodafone’s 50% shareholding in their US JV, Verizon Wireless.
PJT Partners, Christopher Harland and Paul Taubman were not available for comment by press time.
