China Telecom, one of China’s largest telecom companies, denied rumours that it was considering listing its portal operator Best Tone, according to Reuters citing a company’s spokesman.
On Wednesday, the Oriental Daily cited Deng Xiaofeng, the director of China Telecom (Hong Kong) International, saying that the company was considering the feasibility of listing Best Tone.
Best Tone, which is a provider of telephone directory services, is considering expanding its operations outside of Hong Kong, notably in Taiwan, Deng said, according to the Oriental Daily.
