Bermudan mobile operators CellularOne and M3 Wireless have announced that they are going to merge their wireless businesses.
The new company will use the CellularOne brand and will continue to be operated by the CellularOne executive team.
The parent company of M3 Wireless, KeyTech, and the parent company of CellularOne, Atlantic Tele-Network, will together own approximately 80% of the new company.
The CEO of CellularOne, Kurt Eve, said: “We are creating a stronger and more capable wireless company out of two very complementary businesses.”
The new CellularOne will control around half of the Bermudan wireless market, including pre-paid and post-paid services.
A spokesperson for the two companies did not reply to questions before the press deadline.
