Lebanese ISPs Cedarcom and Broadband Plus have filed a suit against the Telecommunications Ministry, which banned them from providing DSL, reports the Daily Star.
The two companies accuse the government body of violating an MoU signed between it, Ogero and ISPs. They say that they spent “millions of dollars” on equipment to participate in the country’s launch of DSL in 2007, but were then not allowed to provide the service.
DSL services are offered in the country via wholesale agreements with state-owned incumbent Ogero.
