British telco BT is set to launch commercial fixed line telephony services in Brazil in March 2010, according to local reports quoting BT Brasil GM Sergio Paulo Gallindo.
BT Global Services will provide the service, which has already been through the testing stage and is said to be ready for launch.
BT has a licence to operate nationwide telecoms services in the country, and the service will initially be available in Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba, with nationwide coverage planned for the future.
BT already operates numerous other services throughout Brazil.
