In a statement, Brasil Telecom said that the debentures would be issued in two series, with one series maturing in five years and the second in eight years.
The lead coordinator for the offering is Banco Itau BBA. BB – Banco de Investimento and Banco Bradesco BBI are coordinators.
Brasil Telecom said that the net proceeds would be used for the refinancing of short term debt, for its capex investment plan and for the enhancement of working capital.
