England & Company, a Washington DC-based boutique investment bank, has formed a dedicated practice focused on the Aerospace, Defense & Government (ADG) market.
The new practice will be led by Craig England, the founder and CEO of England & Company, while industry veteran Edward Bersoff has been hired as a senior adviser.
Staffing of the group is expected to expand materially during the current year.
Commenting on the move, England said: “Our goal is to become the leading full-service middle market investment bank for ADG companies.
“Combining Ed’s industry knowledge and experience with our comprehensive capabilities in M&A advisory, private capital markets and financial restructuring will position us as the leading life-cycle advisory partner for middle-market ADG companies.”
Bersoff has over three decades of industry leadership, both as a corporate executive and as a strategic adviser. He founded and was CEO of two publicly held government information technology companies, BTG and ATS Corporation, and served as a managing director at Jeffries/Quarterdeck Investment Partners, an investment banking firm focused on the aerospace, defence, government services and space industries.
